As we start a new year, we will role out this year's program schedule, discuss new business, and more.  Refreshments will be provided.  Plus, bring your piggy banks and any unused gear to sell or trade for the Flea Market beginning at 7:30.

25-Sep Candlelight Portraiture (Hands-on) -
In this participation program, learn how to use natural candlelight for portrait and still-life photography, and practice on several 3 candelabra model set-ups including: 2 romantic females & 1 character male & 1 candlelight tabletop. (No tripods & no flash)

Members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will describe the process of astronomical photography while also showing what can be captured on a DSLR.

20-Nov Water Droplet Photography (Hands-on) -
Don't pack your camera away for the winter!  In this hands-on program, Chris will demonstrate how to capture water droplet photographs with a simple setup anyone can do.  Bring your camera with flash to photograph several setups that will be available, and explore the limitless creative possibilities at home through the dark summer nights.

15-Jan Digital Post-processing Techniques -
Winter is the perfect time to go back through the archives and spend some time on image post-processing.  John will present some creative post-processing techniques.

Show off your creative side and bring in up to two prints related to one or both of our themes (Green & Shoes).  Think outside of the box, because we will have a secret ballot vote by all attendees to choose which photograph is the most original and most creative.

As chairman of the Railroad Development Corporation (www.rrdc.com),Henry Posner III has photographed railways around the world. Through his photography, he captures and tells the story of railroads and will share his passion for the power of the locomotive.

14-May Lighting Methods for Portrait Photography -
In preparation for next week's shoot-out, We will describe the how to arrange several multi-flash setups for portrait lighting.  He will also demonstrate how to measure and set the intensity level for each flash.

21-May Portrait Shoot-out (Hands-on) -
For this hands-on program, we will have models with different lighting setups for participants to photograph.  Bring your camera, but no tripods and no flash.
